There is one word that all fitness goals rely upon: consistency. This is by far the most important aspect of any training programme.
Losing weight is tough. Ask anyone that has lost a significant amount of weight and they will tell you just how tough it is. If you have excess body fat that you want gone, you really have to work for it. It isn’t something that you can tackle half-heartedly.
You have to REALLY want it. You have to show up and perform, even when you don’t feel 100%.
Worked a long day and you’re feeling tired? Try to push through it.
Didn’t sleep very well last night? Try going for a long walk instead of that high intensity spin class you had booked.
Shoulder feeling a little sore? Let it rest and train other body parts instead.
If you have a significant amount of weight to lose, that journey can be rough. But hang in there! Motivation is key to beating those excuses!
It’s time for some personal accountability. If you want it bad enough, go and get it!
