Remote Personal Training

Personal training doesn’t need to happen in the same room to be effective.

Working with a remote personal trainer gives you structured support, personalised programming and ongoing guidance. It’s delivered in a way that fits around your schedule, your location and your lifestyle.

My coaching is built around clarity, accountability and sustainable progress. No guesswork and no extremes. Just a structured approach to exercise and nutrition that works in the real world.

What working with a remote personal trainer looks like

When people first hear the phrase remote personal trainer, they sometimes imagine receiving a workout plan and being left to figure things out on their own.

That’s not how my coaching works.

Remote coaching is structured and personalised. The main difference is simply that it’s delivered online rather than face-to-face.
As a remote personal trainer, I work with clients using a coaching platform that allows us to communicate, track progress, review training sessions and adjust plans when needed. This means you receive ongoing guidance and support even though we’re not physically in the same place.

Your coaching includes:

  • personalised training programmes

  • practical nutrition guidance

  • structured progress tracking

  • regular check-ins and accountability

  • direct communication for questions and feedback

Because coaching is delivered remotely, it also allows for far more flexibility. You can train in your local gym, at home, while travelling or wherever fits best with your routine.

The focus is always the same: helping you build consistent habits and feel confident in your training.

How remote coaching works

The coaching process follows a clear structure so that you always know what to expect.

You’ll have ongoing support throughout your coaching, so any questions or changes can be handled quickly and effectively.

We review your progress regularly, adjust your plan where needed and keep you accountable so you stay on track.

The aim is simple: remove guesswork and give you structure you can actually stick to.

Remote personal training works well for many different people and lifestyles. It can be particularly helpful for:

A busy professional or parent who needs realistic, flexible plans

Tired of yo-yo dieting and starting over every few months

Beginners looking for clear structure and guidance

Focused on long-term habits, not

quick fixes

You don’t need to be experienced or confident in the gym to benefit from remote coaching. In fact, many beginners find it reassuring to have a clear structure to follow and a coach they can check in with regularly.

Education, not just coaching

Coaching doesn’t stop at programmes.

I believe people deserve to understand their bodies, their training and their nutrition, not just follow instructions blindly. That’s why education is a core part of how I work.

I also host the How To: Fitness podcast, where I break down common myths, explore the evidence behind popular fitness trends and have honest conversations about our health (without the hype).

Real experiences from people who’ve built sustainable progress through structured, evidence-driven coaching.

“I can't recommend Michael Ulloa enough! He was such a great trainer to work with, even on my crummiest days he'd get me laughing and being more kind to myself. I learned a tremendous amount from him over the 8 months we worked together, both about exercise and nutrition (protein!). His integrative app was easy to work with, and his take on the diet industry is next level. Count yourself lucky if you are able to work with him!; professional, patient, genuine.”

Kim C

“I worked with Michael during six months and cannot recommend him enough. He provided me with so much knowledge, content and nutrition advice, always working together on my goals and setting a enjoyable variety of work outs, with regular calls every week. I would definitely work with Michael again!”

Ismael, C

"A maverick in the fitness world, Michael’s personalised approach adapts to your unique needs, pushing you to surpass limits you never knew existed. He’s exactly what I needed at a very difficult time in my life. Infectious enthusiasm, total confidentiality and unwavering support, Michael’s knowledge transforms not just bodies, but lives. With a perfect blend of science-backed methods and intuitive understanding, he redefined what was possible for me. He’s more than a trainer and I cannot recommend him enough."
